An important 2024 closure awaits tomorrow, Monday, December 30, the Panthers of Prosecco DOC Imoco Volleyball who will have to face for the quarterfinals of the Italian Cup Frecciarossa the Megabox Vallefoglia at 7 p.m. at Palaverde, up for grabs the Final Four to be played in Bologna-Casalecchio on February 8 and 9. After the exertions in China for the World Cup and the Boxing Day festivities with Talmassons, an “in or out” match returns for Coach Santarelli’s Panthers, who in recent days have been preparing for this decisive appointment in view of qualifying for the final phase. Conegliano has held the Italian Cup for five consecutive editions and qualified for the quarterfinals by virtue of first place in the standings at the end of the first round of the championship, pairing with Vallefoglia, the eighth place finisher, this season a previous one on October 30 last year on Marche soil, a 3-0 win by Prosecco DOC Imoco.

“We knew that in front of us this season there would be a non-stop calendar, which gives us no respite, but we are equipped for it and aware of the path we have to take. So now having archived the World Cup with the beautiful party the other night at Palaverde, we have recovered our energy and the focus goes to the next commitments, first and foremost this Italian Cup match that is very important for us because it gives access to the finals where we will play for this important trophy, and we want to be there. We have the court factor on our side, we are well and we come from a very good moment, we want to close well the 2024 in front of our fans and get the victory that would send us to the finals in Bologna.
With the staff we have managed well the girls rotating them in the matches and this has allowed us to be always performing, even yesterday in training I saw a very good attitude and commitment on the part of all, we are well and now we focus on Vallefoglia. They have been unlucky in this first part of the season, with injuries and defections, and in spite of this thanks to the great work of coach Pistola and a high level of team quality they have arrived in the top eight and I am convinced that they can do well in the second part of the season, Vallefoglia is a beautiful reality that is imposing itself in the Italian league. That’s why we know that we have to respect the opponent and have maximum attention, we are working in training and at the video to arrive in the best way to tomorrow’s appointment.”
