Last pre-season match for Prosecco DOC A. Carraro, which at the Courmayeur Sport Center faces Numia Vero Volley Milano on the occasion of the final that puts third place at the Courmayeur Cup up for grabs. Yesterday the Panthers did not overcome Novara in the semifinals, while Milan succumbed to Scandicci.
For coach Daniele Santarelli comes another chance to put fuel and file the details towards the debut in official matches in 9 days, when the first day of the championship will be played against UYBA Busto Arsizio. The initial yellow-blue sextet includes Wolosz-Haak in the diagonal, Gabi and Zhu are the wings, Lubian and Chirichella are the middle, De Gennaro is the libero. Coach Lavarini deploys Bosio-Egonu for the diagonal, Lanier and Pietrini are the spikers, Sartori and Kurtagic the middles, Fersino is the libero.

The first exchanges of the match are very balanced, Milan initially leads, then the Panthers come out with the first break, there is the hand of Gabi (12-14, carioca on the ball in the opening set with 3 points and a positive reception at 75%). Chirichella enters the scoreboard and helps to lengthen the distances (16-19), with the middle also stamping the 18-23. Haak delivers the set point, capitalized by Zhu with the 19-25 that is worth 1-0.

In the second set, the first rings are again from Zhu (0-3, 100% perfect reception in the second), Wolosz blocks as he did on the occasion of the Scudetto match point against the Milanese (2-5, one of the 4 team prints in the set); Lubian’s second point is still on the fast as in the first set (8-12), Gabi places two in succession between attack and block (10-17). It is a +7 that allows the Panthers to get their hands on 2-0, Adigwe and Ewert also enter the operations, with the former pantherin who immediately shows off and Gabi who closes the accounts on 17-25 (6 with 1 block 71% in attack). There are 16 points for the green-and-gold with 62% in attack at the end.

Gabi also puts his right foot in the point that leads to Zhu’s 4-9, then coach Santarelli also gives space to the other 4 places, Daalderop and Sillah. Haak is a certainty (8-12 top scorer of the match with 21 centers and 3 blocks), Gabi places parallel and pipe when the balance is back (16-16), but Milan has the strength to come back and make the set his own to shorten the distance (25-21).
Zhu is seen on the court again in the fourth set, and as on the occasion of the previous partial in the opening the Panthers lose the wide (first half of Chirichella for 4-7). Zhu finds a dizzying shot for 5-9, Chirichella is still impactful in the center (Princess with 11 points and 3 blocks), De Gennaro defends greatly, giving way to 7-15. Ewert and Adigwe return to the taraflex, the first lift of the American baptizes the first half of Lubian, Daalderop also plays the last points of the match (19-9): Dutch scores for 12-23, match point for the final 3-1 Panthers signed by Gabi.
