Back to the yellow-blue temple for the Panthers: the Prosecco DOC A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano faces the Honda Cuneo Granda Volley in the challenge valid for the 2^ day of the Regular Season of the Italian women’s A1 championship. On their debut, Wolosz and her teammates beat Busto Arsizio at home in the tiebreak and are looking for their first home success, the last time within the friendly walls the fans celebrated the victory of the eighth Scudetto with the team, in April.

Coach Daniele Santarelli relies on the diagonal type in the initial sextet, inserting Wolosz and Haak, Gabi and Zhu are the wings, Fahr and Lubian the middle, De Gennaro is the libero. On the other side, coach Salvagni deploys Signorile on the dribble and Diop opposite, the spikers are Pritchard and Pucelj, central Keene and Cecconello, the former Bardaro is the libero. The Imoco Next Gen product, before the match, is honored with a bouquet of flowers by the head of the yellow-blue youth sector, Silvia Giovanardi .

The Panthers’ approach to the match is lethal: a 5-0 break with Zhu’s point before the timeout called by the guest bench, then comes another tear at 8-2 with the Chinese again as the protagonist (exceptional in the first set with 5 points and 2 blocks). Then Cuneo gets back on track, but is rejected by a partial in which Haak marvels from seat 2, while Lubian is the last to be hired by Wolosz (18-12). Fahr’s first block is worth 22-15, just before the set point signed by Haak (25-18, the middle will contribute to the success with 7 points and 2 blocks).

Aces in bunches at the dawn of the first set: Fahr’s gives the first break (5-3), two lightning strikes in series by Haak are worth 8-4. The unstoppable Swede at 12 points in the partial with 90% (!) efficiency . Daalderop and Sillah take over the bands, “Neneh” shows up at the Palaverde with the point and ace combo immediately after (14-9). Daalderop opens her account in yellow and blue within the friendly walls (16-12, 7 points combined for the neo-Panthers in the second), also finding the joker from 9 meters (19-14, 5 team aces in the set). Haak dominates again from place 2, after a super defense by De Gennaro blocks Sillah (23-16): the 2-0 is Fahr’s affair, who blocks and closes on 25-16. And what an impact at the Palaverde for Sillah: he will even finish the match in double figures (10), playing the third set from start to finish, without errors in reception.

At the start of the third set, Prosecco DOC has to sew up an initial margin, with Wolosz’s ace and Sillah’s point, the balance is definitely back in balance (9-8, there will be 8 points from nine meters in the end). After a precise service turn by Fahr (with an ace in the middle, 14-11), Chirichella replaces Lubian, while Haak continues his love story with the 9 meters (16-11). Ewert and Adigwe make up the new diagonal, Chirichella enters the scoreboard with a break point of 18-14, Meme also participates in the party (22-16). However, we go to the advantages, a stratospheric 26-point Haak closes with 69% efficiency and 3 blocks.

After the match, the celebrations begin with the parade of the Panthers in the All-In version: the emotional video summarizing the 5 titles won in the past season is projected on the big screen of the Palaverde, escorted by the presidents Piero Garbellotto and Pietro Maschio and the main sponsors Prosecco DOC and Antonio Carraro. The performance of Irene Guglielmi, a Tuscan singer, a gift to the Panthers from the historic sponsor Ristorazione Ottavian, was thrilling. 5 banners already stand out on the ceiling of the arena, as a legacy of a historic season for the club and Italian volleyball.
