CUOREDARENA, SUNDAY WITH NOVARA THE SOCIAL DAY OF AIPD (Italian Association of People with Down Syndrome)

“Goodness takes the field” at Palaverde: Cuoredarena, Prosecco Doc Imoco Volley and AIPD together for Social Day
In the first home game of the new year, it will not only be the Panthers who will take the field but also “goodness”. The first Social Day of 2026 (the second of the season) will be held on Sunday 4 January: “Goodness takes the field” with the friends of the Aipd Marca Trevigiana and their Golosi biscuits.
A charity event promoted by VTV Volley – Cuoredarena Committee in collaboration with Imoco Volley in support of the AIPD, a bond of friendship that has been forged for several years now. The Italian Association of People with Down Syndrome (AIPD) Section of the Marca Trevigiana Onlus was founded on 6 October 2004 by the will of some families of adolescents with Down syndrome, to give a concrete response to concerns about the future of their children. The autonomy projects promoted by the association aim at the full social, educational, work and housing inclusion of people with Down syndrome in the province of Treviso, with a view to complementarity and not to replace the paths proposed by social and health services. Children, parents and volunteers will be present at the entrances with information material and with the now famous “Golosi” biscuits, a delicacy prepared with care and passion by the children who will then make their cheering heard from the stands.
Godmothers of the event are the panthers Isabelle Haak, Merit Adigwe, Cristina Chirichella, Sarah Fahr and Jenna Ewert. Before the kick-off of the match, the traditional photo will be taken on the field with the volunteers and the boys of AIPD and a representation of Cuoredarena members. The involvement of female athletes is important to give a concrete example of how sporting values can coexist with attention to social issues.
