Olympic champions Sarah Fahr and Monica De Gennaro will have the honor of carrying the Olympic flame of Milano Cortina 2026 in the prestigious role of torchbearer with five rings. Sarah Fahr, guest of Gruppo Save, will be with the Olympic torch in Rovereto on Sunday 18 January, while Monica De Gennaro will be torchbearer in Bassano del Grappa guest of Prosecco DOC on 21 January. A further recognition of prestige for the already extraordinary career of the two champions, invited to bring the “sacred fire of Olympia” by two partners of Imoco Volley who are also present in the panel of supporters of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, the naming sponsor Prosecco DOC and the Save Group, logistical partner of the Panthers for international trips.

Having the Olympics here in our territory is fantastic and we gladly accepted this position as torchbearer to witness the participation and cheering of all sportsmen for a historic edition of the Games in Cortina and Milan.”
