Saturday evening of great volleyball at the Palaverde, sold out for the occasion: the Prosecco DOC A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano hosts Volley Bergamo on the occasion of the 7th day of the return of the Regular Season of the Serie A1 Tigotà, the Panthers play the second match in three days in front of their fans to continue their march in the championship.

Coach Daniele Santarelli deploys his gala sextet: captain Wolosz on the dribble, Haak is the opposite, Gabi and Zhu are the spikers, Fahr and Chirichella are the middles, De Gennaro is the libero. On the other side, coach Cervellin chooses Eze, Kipp, Bolzonetti, Mosser, Manfredini, Meli and Armini libero. On the bench for the Panthers with the jersey of the second libero is the class of 2010 Gaia Bozza, a product of Imoco Next Gen.

The Panthers get off to a lightning-fast start, Zhu draws the ace and Gabi disengages with his hands out of 6-2; Wolosz makes himself felt at the wall (13-12), when Bergamo puts his head ahead it is De Gennaro who makes the ball playable that leads to Zhu’s break point. The Chinese is superlative together with all the Panthers in the final partial: with a 6-1 tear the yellow-blues close 25-20, the set point is Haak (7 in the partial with 77%, top scorer of the match with 17 at the end).

At the dawn of the second set it is again Gabi who gives the first yellow-blue advantage (5-4), while Fahr makes the arena explode when he blocks for 8-6. There is a splendid defense by De Gennaro on the new advantage signed by Haak (13-12), Daalderop enters to give Zhu a breather. Double beating by Fahr and the break is served (17-14), Zhu comes back with style and substance (22-20, 5 tokens with 71% in the set for the Chinese, 15 tokens with 61% at the end), Bergamo lets the serve slip away in the hot moment, and it’s 2-0 (25-23).

The “megarally” of the evening leads to the 7-5 of Gabi at the opening of the third set (double digits for the carioca who ends with 10 points), Panthers all over the court to not drop the ball. De Gennaro and Zhu do not lower the level even for a second, Panthers “escape” on Fahr’s 15-7 (6-0 partial). The 18th point is from the number 18, Chirichella fixes the fast (18-11), then the center blocks twice for 21-11: Scognamillo enters to serve, the match point comes after a service error (25-15).

The January of fire in the championship of the Panthers does not stop, who on Tuesday 20 January will be away in Pesaro against the Megabox Ond. Savio Vallefoglia (8.30 pm) . Pre-sales will open on Monday at 12 noon on the Vivaticket.com website for the Palaverde matches against Macerata (championship, 1 February at 17 pm) and LKS Lodz (Champions League, 4 February at 20.30 pm).
