The Panthers’ journey in the championship continues in Pesaro: the Prosecco DOC A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano faces the Megabox Ond. Savio Vallefoglia for the 8th day of the return of the Regular Season of Serie A1 Tigotà . It is the last test before the Final Four of the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, the yellow-blue leaders challenge the sixth in the class, in full play-off fight. The Panthers sport the fourth orange jersey in limited special edition, already available in the online store.

Coach Daniele Santarelli, in his third game in 5 days, makes some rotations and chooses his sextet: captain Wolosz is the setter, Haak is the opposite, Gabi and Zhu are the spikers, Fahr and Chirichella play in the center, De Gennaro is the libero. On the other side, coach Pistola opts for Bartolucci, Bici, Ungureanu, Omoruyi, Candi, Thokboum, libero De Bortoli.

It is a Prosecco DOC that responds present to the intensity shown at the start by Vallefoglia, Zhu signs the first advantage with a break point and Gabi seals the 6-1 partial that brings the yellow-blues to 4-8 (the Chinese scores 8 only in the first set, 16 at the end). Zhu consolidates the advantage and leaves room for Daalderop’s work in the second line (12-15), while Chirichella sends back an opponent’s first half in a delicate moment of the set (19-21, 6 tokens at the end for the central with 50% in attack). Haak gives away two balls for the 1-0 which comes immediately due to a mistake by the home attack (22-25).

Haak continues with the wind in his sails at the beginning of the second set (2-4), Gabi bursts into the match with a shot from place 4 and with the block (6-10); the feeling between best friends continues, the carioca saves in sliding and the opposite blocks the way with the wall shortly after, Panthers on velvet (8-15, 6 points with 50% in attack for the Swede with 2 blocks). Ewert and Adigwe enter for the new diagonal, Zhu resolves a super exchange of experience (19-22), while Chirichella has the right timing on the block that is needed to bring Prosecco DOC one step away from 0-2, which comes immediately after (19-25).

The third set starts uphill, Haak drags the attack to stay in the wake (6-4, top scorer with 19 points at the end). Then the Panthers recompose themselves and Fahr takes the block chair (9-9), Wolosz raises a delicious ball that Chirichella puts on the ground with the fast (MVP captain for the second time in a row), then the middle gives another shoulder blocking for the first advantage of Conegliano (15-16). It is a granite wall that yellow-blue, Fahr also participates (18-20, 5 points in the partial for the middle), while Zhu has the key to close the match, Haak puts the padlock and writes the 0-3 (23-25).
