solidarity has taken the field»
Double appointment for the 2026 edition of Dono&Sport which brought together eight hundred volunteers from the Provincial Avis of Treviso at the Palaverde di Villorba for a double weekend dedicated to the promotion of blood and plasma donation by bringing the message to the field and to the stands.
The initiative saw the participation of Avis alongside Nutribullet Treviso Basket for the championship match against Dolomiti Trentino Energia; and then of Prosecco DOC Imoco Conegliano who faced CBF Balducci Macerata.
A participation that consolidates a long-standing bond through which sport becomes a concrete vehicle for raising awareness of giving.
On the occasion of the two basketball and volleyball matches, the Avis Provinciale of Treviso offered its donors a free ticket to attend the games. Also this year the proposal was “sold out” for the 800 admissions expected
in a few hours, making both matches a moment of sharing and recognition towards those who, with a simple but fundamental gesture, contribute every day to the well-being of the community.
To enrich the pre-match some symbolic moments: the exchange of jerseys between the president of Avis Provinciale Treviso, Paolo Zanatta, and the representatives of Nutribullet Treviso Basket and Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley. The presence of the Avis banner to welcome the teams’ descent into the field, the delivery of the associative t-shirts accompanied by the mascot “Oscar”,
a now familiar presence to bring even the youngest closer to the values of the association.
Outside the facility, the Avis information gazebo is available to the public to provide information on the association and how to become a donor.

The president of Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley Piero Garbellotto joins in: “The AVIS day after eleven years is now a must in our season, it is wonderful to see the Palaverde colored with the AVIS insignia, the mascots and the many donors who fill our stands. We dedicate a space to each match of the season for an association dedicated to social issues, we try to make available the visibility and values of our Panthers to highlight important issues such as in this case the very important one of blood donation. Our territory is particularly reactive and available to the issue of donation and involving sportsmen and women more and more seems necessary to us. The sports environment is very suitable for donation and therefore this year we have collaborated with enthusiasm in the now classic Dono&Sport initiative of the friends of Avis Provinciale Treviso».
