Coach Daniele Santarelli toasts to his tenth year on the Panthers’ bench as head coach! The Umbrian coach from Foligno, born in 1981, will be the strategist of Prosecco DOC A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano for the 10th season in a row. For Santarelli, the upcoming year will be the 12th in yellow-blue: arrived in 2015, after two seasons as assistant, since 2017 he has been the yellow-blue head coach leader of the successes of Prosecco DOC A.Carraro Imoco Volley.
NUMBERS AND PALMARES WITH PROSECCO DOC – 45 years old, an incredible story that has seen him go from “rookie” to top world coach in two decades: with Prosecco DOC A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano coach Daniele Santarelli has collected 397 victories in 438 games, with an amazing success rate of 91%. Since he sat on the bench of Palaverde, the Umbrian coach has conquered everything; 27 trophies raised as head coach, with all the Scudetti available 8 (in nine seasons, one of which was “truncated” due to Covid in which the title was not awarded), 7 Italian Cups, 7 Super Cups, 3 Club World Cups and 3 Champions Leagues, in addition to the historic world record of 76 consecutive victories. In Serie A1 he has 321 benches, already 7th in the all-time ranking among coaches.
NATIONAL TEAM – Coach Santarelli has international experience as a coach of recognized value: from 2018 to 2021 he coached Croatia, a national team with which he wears two silver medals of the European Golden League around his neck. In 2022 he managed Serbia, a national team with which he won the World Cup at the first attempt; in the following year he became coach of Turkey, a team he still directs and which led him to win a VNL and a European Championship in 2023, as well as a world silver medal in 2025 and fourth place at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Staying ten years on a bench and in such a prestigious club is a unique event, I feel lucky. Having written unforgettable pages of this club is wonderful, if I have been part of this family for a decade it means that there is a very strong bond that goes beyond volleyball, this is an honor and a great responsibility that leads me to always strive to reciprocate the affection of all the people of the club and of our greats by putting the utmost seriousness and work on the field. It is a huge privilege to be head coach of this club: it was 10 years ago when Pietro Maschio entrusted me with the job the first time, it is still so that we have conquered everything together. For this reason, it goes without saying that I am very happy to renew this relationship with the presidents, sponsors and fans, Conegliano is my home and I never tire of emphasizing it. I hope with all my heart that next season will be beautiful, it will be yet another year of exciting challenges, but I am convinced that I have the right people close to me to live them properly. Now I am engaged in the intense summer with the Turkish national team, but after the European Championship we will all see each other again at the Palaverde, the place where we made our dreams come true, for another season where we start with strong motivations and ambitions as always important. On all fronts: I hug the fans, it will be fantastic to return to fight with them for new goals.”
