Sixth in the championship, same Panthers: Prosecco DOC A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano makes no mistake even in Florence, beating Il Bisonte 3-0 at the Pala BigMat. With a deeply revised sextet, coach Santarelli finds the winning choices that lead to another success without sets left on the road in LVF A1 Fineco: the MVP of the match is Gabi, top scorer of the day with 14 points, brilliant performances by the blues of the future Manfredini (12) and Adigwe (13).
Rotations for coach Daniele Santarelli, who for the sextet of the day chooses captain Wolosz in direction, Adigwe opposite, Gabi and Sillah spikers, Cekulaev and Manfredini central, De Gennaro free. On the Florence side, coach Orefice deploys Boldini, Cugno, Damaske, Baird, Caruso, Milosic, Tanase free.
A start in the name of balance, except for a Florentine break immediately contained by Adigwe between place 2 and winning serve (5-5, 6 points with 67% in the first set for the opposite holder of the day); Sillah scratches to concretize the first real advantage and confirm it immediately after, while it is Gabi who consolidates the superiority immediately after (13-16). Damaske and Cugno do not give up, but when Il Bisonte sniffs the ball of the equalizer Wolosz finds a five-star lift for Manfredini, the same does De Gennaro for Adigwe (16-19). Baird brings Florence back down, Caruso fixes the tie at 21: Haak raises the wall, attacks Adigwe, forces the serve and brings three set points, Sillah fixes the 4-0 partial and takes the lead (21-25).
Manfredini’s defense and Cekulaev’s first half, central on the cover at the start of the second set (3-3). Cugno fixes the sprint of the hosts (5-3), then the Panthers come back with Sillah and Adigwe’s block (8-10). Gabi places the ace after the time-out (8-13, 6 for the Brazilian in the second), coach Santarelli makes the double change with Di and Haak on the court, Piovesan offers a quality service and the carioca also affects the wall (13-17). Winning relay of the opposites to take 16-20, Prosecco DOC solid all the way, the 0-2 is the result of a service error of the opponents (19-25).
Manfredini thunders at the wall at the opening of the third set, after an unfavorable first break Florence finds momentum with Cugno’s ace to take it to 7-5. Then Il Bisonte makes a mistake and the Panthers have the advantage again in their pocket (7-9), in the ping-pong of partials Damaske emerges for the lob of 12-11. Profitable turn by Manfredini (14-15), Gabi and Haak dig a new furrow to take the Panthers to the final straight (20-23), Arici is rewarded with a new turn in the second row: Sillah gives away three match points, Manfredini closes the match with the ace of 21-25 (there are 6 for the middle in the decisive partial).
The Panthers will return to the Palaverde on Sunday 8 November on the 7th day of LVF A1 Fineco against Cbf Balducci HR Macerata: tickets already available on Vivaticket.com.
