COACH SANTARELLI IS BACK, TOMORROW ON THE BENCH IN BELLUNO FOR THE FIRST PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY

Just in time for tomorrow’s first official outing in Belluno in a friendly against Talmassons, coach Daniele Santarelli returned to the base after leading his Turkey to the world final. The Foligno coach, new world silver medallist, today inaugurated his 9th season as head coach of the Panthers, eleventh also considering the first two years as assistant, a “homecoming” that anticipates by a few days the return of the players who went with him to medal at the World Cup, the gold medalists Moki De Gennaro and Sarah Fahr and the Brazilian Gabi bronze in Bangkok.
Coach Santarelli received the baton from his assistant Tommaso Barbato who has held the helm since the beginning of the preparation in August and immediately immersed himself in the new season in yellow-blue with his team that will return to the starting line with the scepter in all competitions:
“I’m here after a few days of rest at the end of a very busy summer with Turkey that gave us satisfaction and some regrets, but now I’m at home and I’m ready for a long and difficult season in which we will try to repeat something that by definition is a unique feat, that is to win all competitions. We will try again.

The team that the club has made available to me this year is always a very strong, complete team with many top players, it is natural that the ambitions are very high and that we aim for the highest goals. I know that so far the team has worked well, I have discussed it with my staff and the work is going in the right direction and already tomorrow in Belluno we could start to see something, waiting to be complete from next week in view of the two tournaments we will have before the championship. However, tomorrow I will stay a bit on the sidelines and rightly let Tommaso Barbato and Maurizio Mora who have worked with the group so far
(who were also joined by assistant Andrea Zotta and physiotherapist Ilenia Marin, also at the World Cup with Turkey) to manage the match with Talmassons, I… I’ll take notes!
The new ones? At the World Championships during the event I met all my players in the match and in general I followed them, they had a great tournament and also the new ones like Daalderop who is a player we know well, and Sillah who impressed me immediately when we viewed some time ago, they will be important for the team as well as the young Scognamillo and Munarini.”
