monday kicks off the 2024/25 season! FIRST PRACTICE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC FROM 10 AM AT PALAVERDE!

MONDAY’S START TO THE 2024/25 SEASON OF THE CHAMPIONSHIPS OF ITALY AND EUROPE.

PROSECCO DOC IMOCO VOLLEY’S FIRST TRAINING AT PALAVERDE (10 a.m., open to the Public)
BLUE OLYMPIANS, GABI AND SEKI WILL ARRIVE AUG. 23
On Monday, August 19, Prosecco DOC Imoco Volleyball’s Italian and European Champions will begin the 2024/25 season at Palaverde for their first training session OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
Coach Santarelli returned from the Olympics will direct the work of the yellow-blue Panthers with his staff that will consist of deputy Tommaso Barbato with assistant Andrea Zotta, assistant Maurizio Mora, athletic trainer Marco Da Lozzo and team manager Pier Zanasi, with the valuable support of “physio” Francesco Zucca and Ilenia Marin.
The players available in this first part of the preparation, will be the “veterans” Joanna Wolosz (the Polish captain), the U.S. dunker Khalia Lanier and the Swedish “bomber” Isabelle Haak, with them the prized new arrivals of Italian middlewomen Cristina Chirichella and Katja Eckl and Polish setter Martyna Lukasik.
Also joining the Imoco Volley youngster (coming from Scuola Pallavolo Anderlini Modena by virtue of the existing fruitful collaboration with the yellow-blue club Asia Spaziano and former Pantera Alessia Gennari, who will train with the yellow-blue group before departing for the new experience in the USA.
On August 23 great anticipation for the arrival of Olympic champions Monica De Gennaro, Sarah Fahr and Marina Lubian, for Brazilian Paris bronze medal star Gabriela Guimaraes Braga (Gabi), for another exotic newcomer, Japanese setter Nanami Seki.
Also arriving on the 23rd are young Anna Bardaro and Merit Adiwge engaged with the Under-20 national team in the European Championships in Dublin.
Later on, however, Chinese outfielder Zhu Ting, another attraction for the Panthers’ 24/25 season, is expected to arrive in Conegliano.
Practice will continue all week (rest Friday) always with open doors at 10 a.m. at Palaverde.
MEDIA: ON MONDAY 19 AT 10 a.m. AT THE PALAVERDE WILL BE ALLOWED ACCESS TO TRAINING, AT THE END (about 12 p.m.) “MEDIA TIME” WITH THE POSSIBILITY FOR PRESS AND MEDIA TO TAKE INTERVIEWS AND PHOTOS WITH THE PLAYERS AND THE TECHNICAL STAFF.
PRECAMPIONSHIP
-scheduled for Sept. 14 and 15 is the second edition of the City of Conegliano Tournament at Zoppas Arena, which will have an international character with the presence of top teams that will soon be announced along with how to purchase tickets.
-On September 20 and 21 instead, the luxury quadrangular in Courmayeur with the top four teams of the last Serie A1: together with Prosecco DOC Imoco on the court in the Piedmont mountains Vero Volley Milano, Savino del Bene Scandicci and Igor Novara.
-From Sept. 28 it’s serious business with the Italian Super Cup scheduled in Rome, the first seasonal trophy up for grabs, inaugurating the official season, opponent Vero Volley Milan.
-The Panthers’ championship will begin Saturday, Oct. 5, at Palaverde, where fans will finally be able to embrace their super Panthers in their home in the season-opening match with UYBA Busto Arsizio.
