The partnership for the 2025/26 season has been announced with Kiwy Matera® and Fragola Matera®, Nicofruit’s® premium lines, in support of physical well-being and women’s sport
Nicofruit®, a brand of the Frutthera Growers Producers’ Organization, is sponsor for the 2025/26 season of Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley Conegliano, the Italian, European and World Champion team for clubs, with its premium Kiwy Matera® and Fragola Matera® lines, grown in Basilicata in the name of sustainability.
The sponsorship is visible on the central cube and on the LEDs of the Palaverde in Villorba, the “home” of the yellow-blue Panthers which in the last 2024/25 season attracted over 110 thousand spectators, thus holding the absolute audience record in Italian women’s volleyball. In addition, for the entire duration of the championship, the products – from October to January kiwi and from February to May strawberry – will also be the protagonists in the VIP area of the arena, where they will be offered to guests, as well as integrated into the athletes’ food plan.
Kiwy Matera® and Fragola Matera® represent two Italian excellences, symbols of quality, sustainability and enhancement of the Lucanian territory. For this reason, Nicofruit®, which promotes and enhances Made in Italy through these products, chooses to join the Conegliano (TV) team, one of the greatest excellences of Italian women’s volleyball.
“We are pleased to support Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley Conegliano, a reality that best represents the values of determination, cohesion and commitment that have always inspired our company,” says Francesco Nicodemo, President of the Frutthera Growers Producers Organization. “We believe in women’s volleyball because it represents the strength of the group and the ability to grow together, just like we do, carefully accompanying every phase of the supply chain to offer authentic and quality products”.
“Nutrition is a fundamental element for the preparation and well-being of our athletes. Having a company like Nicofruit® by our side, which brings the excellence of Made in Italy fruit to the field, is an added value for us. Fruit cannot be missing in the daily diet of a team like ours, and sharing these principles of quality and attention to well-being with a partner is a source of great satisfaction,” says Piero Garbellotto, President of Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley Conegliano.
The official communication of the sponsorship took place in conjunction with the sixth match of the Italian A1 women’s volleyball championship, which was played on Thursday 29 October 2025, during which Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley Conegliano faced the Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri and at the end of the match won 3-1 posed with the Kiwy Matera!
Nicofruit®
Nicofruit® was founded in 1993 in Scanzano Jonico (Basilicata) with 3 hectares dedicated to the cultivation of strawberries. Over the years it has grown to become the brand of the Frutthera Growers Producers’ Organization, reaching an agricultural area of over 90 hectares and integrating 30 associated producers. Today it produces and markets strawberries and yellow kiwis with an approach oriented towards quality, sustainability and innovation. The first warehouse was opened in 1994, while in 2000 and 2008 there were logistical expansions and the installation of photovoltaic systems. In 2013 a collaboration was born with the University of Basilicata (DICEM) for the reduction of the carbon footprint and in 2015 automated irrigation systems and a new processing line were created to facilitate the work of packaging workers. Finally, in 2023, soilless plants for the cultivation of strawberries were built. The Fragola Matera® brand represents one of the main results in terms of territorial and identity enhancement of Lucanian agricultural production. The company operates today with an integrated organizational model that combines production tradition, advanced technologies and attention to the environment.
