It is played in the full PalaTrieste, with thousands of yellow-blue supporters in tow and 200 of the organized supporters who came to the Julian capital for the occasion, where the Panthers won the 2024 Italian Cup.
For the occasion, coach Daniele Santarelli relies on the starting six base, with Wolosz and Haak for the diagonal, Gabi and Zhu are the spikers, Fahr and Chirichella the middles, De Gennaro the libero. Coach Stefano Lavarini, on the other hand, plays with Bosio on the dribble and Egonu opposite, Lanier and Piva spikers, Kurtagic and Danesi central, the libero is Fersino.
Panthers immediately master the match, a mistake by the Milanese is worth the first mini-escape for 6-2; Haak hits continuously (9-5), even after a time-out called by the opponent’s bench to extinguish the flames, with the ace of 18-14 (before Zhu had scored 16-13, one of the 4 points in the set with 0 errors by the Chinese, she will close with 10). Scognamillo comes on and cleans the first touches together with De Gennaro, the 1-0 is sealed by Fahr with the first half.

Lubian enters and immediately puts down a first half raised by Wolosz (12-17), Sillah shakes the yellow-blue attack again (19-22, 5-point entry and 50% efficiency for the number 23). The Panthers remain in the slipstream, but fall with the error that is worth 20-25 with the annexed overtaking of Vero Volley.
The fourth set starts on the right foot for De Gennaro and her teammates, Lubian gives order to the front line and the Prosecco DOC A.Carraro Imoco finds two blocks of the Olympic champion (8-4). Sillah lifts a magnificent ball for Zhu who pierces the wall making the arena explode (12-5, another 5 tops for the Slovenian in the fourth set, great impact of the gang in the match that will close with 11 points). The fourth team block in the set is by Chirichella, leads to 16-7: Scognamillo returns to the second line, Haak resolves the longest exchange of the set (20-9), it is the prelude to the set point, concretized by Zhu (25-13).
