Five participations and fifth world semi-final in sight for the Panthers who in the previous four have always reached the final act of the world championship dedicated to clubs: Prosecco DOC Imoco Conegliano will take the field tomorrow evening against Osasco Sao Cristovao Suade for the penultimate act of the World Cup in São Paulo in Brazil. The challenge is against the hosts of the competition, second in pool A played during the week. The Panthers won their group with 3 3-0 victories against Orlando (USA), Zamalek (Egypt) and yesterday Praia (Bra), now the last hurdle before the final, kick-off at 20.30.
Oscasco has so far picked up two victories, yesterday 3-2 against the Kazakhs of Zheytsu (18p of the American Baird), previously 3-0 against the Peruvians of Lima (with 19p of the Argentine Cugno) and 3-0 defeat against Savino del Bene Scandicci.
The other semifinal will also be between Italy and Brazil, between Savino del Bene Scandicci who dominated his group and the Dentil Praia Clube, at 17 Italian time.
The final will be played on Sunday at 8.30 pm, while the “final” for 3rd place at 5 pm.
