The championship is back for Prosecco DOC A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano: the challenge valid for the 2nd day of the second round against Honda Granda Cuneo is staged at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Cuneo. The Panthers resume their journey in the championship for the second part of the Regular Season in 1st place with 40 points in the standings.

The formations: coach Daniele Santarelli opts for the diagonal composed of Wolosz and Haak, Sillah and Daalderop are the 4 places, Chirichella and Lubian central, De Gennaro is the libero. On the other side, coach Salvagni chooses Allaoui, Diop, Rivero, Pucelj, Keene, Koulisiani and libero Bardaro.

The first break points of the match are signed by Haak for the yellow-blues, good at getting back on track immediately with a 4-0 partial (9-11). Sillah’s block forces the opponent’s bench to call the first time-out (12-15), Lubian also prints the first block of his game shortly after (16-18, super Marina tonight with 10 points with 78% in attack, MVP of the match). Haak continues to grind from place 2 (18-21, 7 points with 87% offensive in the first for the Swede), Scognamillo enters the last stages of the set, the 0-1 comes after a mistake by the Piedmontese attack (20-25).

Lubian slips a block and two attacks that guarantee an immediate +4 to the Panthers in the second set (1-5, 6 in the partial for the central with 100% in attack and 3 blocks), Sillah blocks for 4-9, Chirichella enters the match immediately after (5-10). Lubian also makes a big voice on the wall (7-17 and 5-0 partial for Prosecco DOC), Haak breaks through the wall in an action in which De Gennaro dives to keep the ball alive (9-20). Daalderop takes the whim of the ace, the yellow-blue domination in the second set ends with the 0-2 signed by Sillah (10-25, 13 points for the Dutchman).

There is a very heated third set to play for the Panthers: Chirichella finds the way to the wall to shorten on Cuneo’s outbursts (11-9), then Daalderop takes the chair and leads the yellow-blues with 2 aces (12-13). Haak takes the first break point of the partial (13-15, 17 centers for the Swede, top scorer of the match), Chirichella takes advantage of the wrong reception to sink the 16-19. Daalderop still has sap from place 4 (19-21), Sillah uses the hands of the opponent’s wall of 21-23: matchpoint scored by Haak, fifteenth victory in the championship for Conegliano.

It will be a 2025 finale full of events: on Tuesday 23 December at 20.30 Prosecco DOC returns to the Palaverde for the match against Omag-Mt San Giovanni in Marignano.
