An engaging and interesting evening last Wednesday at the Dina Orsi Auditorium in Conegliano for the Panthers of Prosecco DOC Imoco Volleyball, who stood in front of more than three hundred people as guests of Soroptimis section of Conegliano and Vittorio Veneto, an association that promotes values of gender equality and inclusion around the world.
Section President Jane Wood, assisted by National Vice President Cristina Greggio, received a delegation from Prosecco DOC Imoco after signing the Soroptimus Ethics Charter with Conegliano Mayor Fabio Chiesus.
An evening organized by an all-female association for women, taking as an example Conegliano’s golden volleyball players who are a bit of a symbol of female pride with their public and approval ratings successes that have reached if not surpassed their male “colleagues.”
Also present on the stage, along with Olympic Panthers Fahr and Lubian, Gabi, Lanier, Eckl, Seki and Bardaro, were Conegliano rowing champion Alessandra Patelli, who boasts two Olympic participations, and young athletics talent Lorenza Denoni, recently 5th in the 400m at the Under-20 World Championships in Peru.
At the end, group photo for all Soroptimus organizers, who ensured their presence in the stands at Palaverde to support the Panthers of Prosecco DOC Imoco Volleyball, once again protagonists, this time as “testimonials” of important and current issues such as gender equality and opportunities between men and women in the world of work and beyond.
