Cancer screening, captain Asia Wolosz first testimonial of the 2025/26 season

They returned to the field on Monday for the first of the championship and, with the same determination and desire to win, they return to the field today by our side for the promotion of the 2025/2026 cancer screening campaign. They, for the few who do not follow them, are the champions of Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley Conegliano, for years now alongside the ULSS 2 in one of the most important matches for everyone, the prevention of cancer.

The promotion of screenings through the testimonials of the Conegliano volleyball team, for
years the undisputed protagonist worldwide, reinforces the message that is launched to citizens:
the importance of adhering to the various prevention campaigns promoted in the area.

The first testimonial of this year is the historic captain, Asia Wolosz, Polish origins but now
Coneglianese by adoption considering that she is in her tenth season in the ranks of the “Panthers”.

SCREENINGS
In ULSS 2, as in the whole of Veneto, breast cancer screenings are active, with invitation
of women aged 50-74 (from 2025 onwards, the
invitation to the 45-49 age group), screening for cervical cancer, with
invitation to women between 25 and 64 years old and screening for colorectal cancer with convocation
of patients aged 50 to 74. For mammography and cervical screening, once you have received the invitation, you can change the appointment directly on the Electronic Health Record, or, alternatively, by calling the new number of the screening call center 0422 050111.

THE DATA
In 2024, a total of 53,279 women underwent mammograms
as a primary screening test and, out of the 1,198 in-depth studies carried out,
389 tumors were detected early.
79794 people adhered to the colorectal screening: 2790 in-depth studies were performed
which made it possible to identify and treat 1224 precancerous lesions and 64
Tumors.
For cervical screening, a total of 39,672 women were admitted last year
they are subjected to the Pap test (25-29 years) or the HPV-DNA test (30-64 years). A number of
5,000 investigations and 218 precancerous lesions were identified and treated.
The three screenings provide complete and free management in the event of a positive result in the
first level, ensuring an organized diagnostic and therapeutic pathway, in accordance with the
best available scientific evidence.
