Prosecco DOC wonder in Milan. Coach Santarelli’s team leaves nothing to Numia Vero Volley Milano and wins Game 2 of the Scudetto Finals of Serie A1 Tigotà. It’s 3-0 at the Allianz Cloud, a relentless 21-point Haak with 64% in attack and 2 blocks is the MVP of a team that attacks at 51% and receives at 54% .
For Game 3 the bedlam of the Palaverde is ready to return for a new sell-out, the fans of the Panthers will welcome their favorites for the third appointment of the series on Sunday at 6 pm.
Coach Daniele Santarelli does not change his sextet after the victory in the fifth set of Game 1: captain Wolosz directing, Haak is the opposite, Gabi and Zhu are the spikers, Fahr and Chirichella the middles, De Gennaro the libero. Panthers loose at the start (0-3), after the return of Numia Gabi solves a hard-fought point with the pipe. De Gennaro saves a ball that Haak turns into gold (7-9), the Swede after Gabi (9-13) who blocks for the first yellow-blue break in the match (10-15, 6 points and 2 blocks in the partial for the opposite). After a Vero Volley break with Danesi and Piva, Prosecco DOC re-establishes the distance and extends with the first ace of the evening, Haak again protagonist (13-19). Daalderop makes Zhu catch his breath, Milan gets closer with Sartori’s ace combo and Akimova’s block (19-21): withexperience and patience Conegliano resists and wins the first, Zhu’s set point (21-25).
Zhu on the cover for the beginning of the second set, with his points and with Chirichella’s fast, Prosecco DOC takes the first significant advantage (3-6). A great point by Lanier warms up the Allianz Cloud, turned off for a moment then by Gabi’s ace (8-11); Chirichella plants the first block of his match, Wolosz resolves a very long exchange (11-16) with a second.
