Everything is ready in Rome to award tomorrow the first trophy of the season, the Fineco-branded Italian Super Cup that will see the Italian champion Panthers of Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley Conegliano and Numia Vero Volley Milan facing each other.
– Conegliano has been defending champion for six consecutive editions and has already won the Super Cup seven times in its trophy case.
– It is a replay of last year’s final, which saw the Yellow-blue Panthers prevail 3-1 in Livorno.
– In total, there are 37 previous meetings between the two teams, with 31 wins by the Venetian women and 6 by the Lombard women.
– Three former Panthers are wearing Miano’s jersey, Italian-born Paola Egonu, Anna Danesi and Myriam Sylla.
– Full team for coach Santarelli, aggregated to the first team as the 14th (she will wear the jersey of second libero) the young Elena Arici, a 2007 class libero from the Gialloblù youth sector.
