TASTY PRE-SEASON APPETIZER IN COURMAYEUR ON 26 AND 27 SEPTEMBER

For the third consecutive season, it will be the city of Courmayeur to kick off the Serie A women’s volleyball season. On Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September, the top four teams of the last championship, Prosecco Doc A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano, Savino Del Bene Scandicci, Numia Vero Volley Milano and Igor Gorgonzola Novara, will face each other in the Courmayeur Cup, the friendly tournament organized by the Women’s Volleyball League.

The announcement is accompanied by another important news: alongside Courmayeur itself, confirmed as Official Tourism Partner of the League, the entry of the Valle d’Aosta Region is official, which in addition to the event will be present with exclusive content and activations throughout the Serie A season, always with the qualification of Official Tourism Partner.

“This partnership confirms the Region’s desire to invest in sport as an effective tool for promoting the territory and enhancing our tourist offer. Women’s volleyball today represents one of the most followed and appreciated sports realities, capable of involving a wide and transversal audience, even at an international level. Being the Official Tourism Partner of the League and hosting, for the third consecutive year, the event that inaugurates the Serie A season means associating the name of Valle d’Aosta with a high-quality sports movement and the positive values it expresses. It is a choice that reinforces the positioning of our region as an ideal destination for major sporting events and as a place capable of offering authentic experiences throughout the year”, declares the Councillor for Tourism, Sport and Commerce of the Valle d’Aosta Region, Giulio Grosjacques.

These are the words of Roberto Rota, Mayor of Courmayeur: “We are particularly pleased and proud to welcome to Courmayeur, for the third consecutive year, an event of absolute prestige such as the Courmayeur Cup, which represents one of the most important pre-season events of Italian women’s volleyball. The confirmation of this event testifies to the ability of our town to establish itself more and more as a reference point in the hospitality of major sporting and cultural events of national and international appeal. Courmayeur can count on a natural context of extraordinary beauty, but its real added value lies in the ability to build shared projects, creating synergies with the territory and developing high-profile collaborations, such as the one with the Women’s Volleyball League. It is thanks to this network of relationships that we can continue to grow and propose quality initiatives, capable of generating value for the community and for the entire territory. Finally, I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta for a collaboration that is consolidated year after year and that represents a strategic element for imagining and implementing increasingly ambitious, attractive and international events, helping to strengthen the positioning of Courmayeur among the main Italian destinations dedicated to major events”.

“We are honored by this unprecedented synergy with Valle d’Aosta – comments the President of the Women’s Serie A Volleyball League Mauro Fabris. For the first time in the history of the LVF, a Region has decided to link up with us throughout the championship, recognizing in our movement a vehicle of excellence and national visibility, which goes beyond the single event. A broad and prestigious collaboration that finds its perfect expression in the Courmayeur Cup, now in its third year and which has become a fundamental and indispensable classic in the approach to the Serie A championships”.

All information on ticketing and accreditation will be shared in the coming weeks.
