THE TECHNICAL STAFF 26/27, NEWS AND CONFIRMATIONS-THE DATES OF THE PRE-SEASON: GREAT NEWS THE TRAINING CAMP IN ALLEGHE!

Prosecco DOC A. Carraro Imoco Conegliano sets its sights on next season: the Panthers will meet for the first training session of the 26-27 season at the Palaverde on August 18th.

TRAINING CAMP IN THE DOLOMITES AND FRIENDLY MATCH VS TRENTO – The novelty of the pre-season will be the training camp in Alleghe-Rocca Pietore, which will see the Panthers and staff move to work at the foot of the Civetta in the unique scenery of the Dolomites. Arrival in the mountains of the yellow-blue group on 31 August, from 1 to 6 September Panthers at work, with a treat for the fans, the first friendly of the season against Trento is scheduled for Saturday 5 August at 17.00 in the Caprile gym.
PORDENONE TOURNAMENT – On the weekend of 12 and 13 September the Pordenone tournament organized by Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley returns to the PalaCrisafulli: quadrangular that will put Prosecco DOC Imoco in front of Volley Bergamo on Saturday 12 at 20.30, while Talmassons and Panathinaikos Athens will play the first semifinal on the same day at 18. Finals on Sunday, 3.30 pm for third place, 6 pm for the title.
IN LONGARONE VS TALMASSONS AND COURMAYEUR CUP- Another test against Talmassons has been set for Saturday 19 September, it will be played in Longarone at 6 pm, while a week later (Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 September) we return to Courmayeur for the traditional Courmayeur Cup, a pre-season tournament between the big names of Serie A1 that the Panthers will play against Numia Vero Volley Milano, Savino del Bene Scandicci and Igor Gorgonzola Novara.

The staff led by coach Daniele Santarelli has also been defined, with confirmations and three new entries on the technical front

MAURIZIO MORA IS THE ASSISTANT COACH- Taking on the role of deputy is Maurizio Mora: born in 1980 in Borgomanero (NO), he has been a member of coach Santarelli’s staff since 2024 as the fourth coach, but starting next season he will be the second. Mora has experience in A1 as an assistant in Novara, since 2025 he has been collaborating in the Turkish staff. In his third season with Prosecco DOC, Mora made the leap and became coach Santarelli’s squire.

NEWS, THE THIRD COACH MALLIA- Vincenzo Mallia joins the yellow-blue staff as the third coach: 38 years old from Pachino (SR), from 2013 to 2015 he coaches the youth teams of Volleyrò, with whom he wins 4 under championships; for 10 seasons he held the position of lead assistant coach for Toronto University, while since 2017 he has been the second coach in Canada, now led by Giovanni Guidetti. In addition to an assistant experience at Fenerbahce two seasons ago, Mallia was assistant to Nicola Negro in Chieri last season.

NEWS, THE FOURTH COACH BOTTOSSO- The new assistant to coach Santarelli arrives from Imoco Next Gen, he will also sing about technicians: to make the leap into the world of the Panthers is Giulio Bottosso, 31 years old from Portogruaro. Bottosso began coaching at the age of 18 for the local Portogruaro Volleyball club before moving to Volley Pool Piave, where he was U13 coach and assistant coach in U14 for 4 seasons. After completing a year as an assistant coach and scoutman with the U18 of Cortina Express Imoco San Donà, with which he won a category Scudetto, Bottosso repeated himself by winning the very recent U16 tricolor with Valentino Ricci Imoco San Donà. Already scoutman for Italy U18 at the Wezva tournament, he holds the position of assistant coach for the U22 national team ready to play in the European Championships.

MARCO DA LOZZO CONFIRMED AS PHYSICAL TRAINER – For the eighth season in a row, the athletic training of the Panthers is entrusted to the experience and professionalism of Marco Da Lozzo, born in 1984 in San Vendemiano, now a historical collaborator of coach Santarelli with whom he has established a fundamental harmony for the planning of the seasonal work of the Panthers. Previously, Da Lozzo worked in Padua (A2 and A1 men’s), in Japan at the Suntory Sunbirds, then with Rovigo (A2 women), Igor Novara (A1), Pomì Casalmaggiore (A1), Targoviste (Romania), Finnish U19 national team. In 2023/24, he collaborated with Turkey.

TEAM MANAGER ZANASI- The organizational manager of Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley is always Pier Paolo Zanasi: it will be the seventh season in Conegliano for the Bolognese team manager born in 1969.

THE RETURN OF MARCO GRECO AS SCOUTMAN- A welcome return to the figure of scoutman: the data man of the technical staff will be Marco Greco, 36 years old from Grottaglie (TA), a reference in the world of volleyball statistics. He began coaching at the age of 18 in Urbino where he studied at the University, then held various positions with Argine Volley, Antares Volleyball, Montecchio (A2) and GPS Schio, of which he was technical director in the last season. As a scoutman he began in 2013 with US Torri, from 2021 to 2025 he was part of the staff of Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley. In between, high-level experiences in the national team with Croatia, Serbia and Turkey, with whom he still collaborates in coach Santarelli’s staff.

STATEMENTS MAURIZIO MORA, assistant coach of the yellow-blues, who will be responsible with the physical trainer Marco Da Lozzo for the first part of the preparation when coach Santarelli will be busy directing Turkey at the European Championships. “I would like to sincerely thank the club, Pietro (Maschio) and Daniele (Santarelli) for this extraordinary opportunity and for the trust they have decided to place in me. For me it is a source of great satisfaction and pride to be able to hold the role of second coach in a prestigious reality such as Prosecco DOC Imoco Volley. In these two years as a member of the staff I have understood why this club is always at the top: the fans, the sponsors and all the figures who work behind the scenes work with seriousness and passion to achieve results. My task now will be to transmit the same values to those who come, it will be a fantastic stimulus to hold a position of this importance. I face this new challenge with enthusiasm, responsibility and great motivation, with the aim of putting all my experience, my passion and my desire to work and win at the service of the team, the players and the staff. I can’t wait to start the new season, continuing to defend these colors with even more enthusiasm, but above all with the responsibility that belongs to this new role”.
