COACH SANTARELLI STATEMENTS
“It will be a beautiful match, after the blue summer it is a match that everyone wants to see, with the gold medalists from the Olympics on the court and many international champions who give the flavor of the big event to this challenge. These are special occasions that fill us with pride because it is a sign of the exponential growth that our movement has had, and to have been an important part of this growth is for us a source of great satisfaction and a push to look higher and higher. Milan and Conegliano are two very strong teams and they have shown it also in this start of the season, they have had some injury problems, but they are recovering very well, so if we want to get a result at the Forum we will need a practically perfect game on our part.
There are three points up for grabs, but maybe even something more because we are two of the teams that will be competing for trophies this season and so the motivation to do well will be multiplied on both sides, it will be a test that both teams care a lot about also because we might find ourselves in the World Club Championship. Our opponent is a complete team, physical, strong in every department, with power in attack and a very strong wall-defense, also it is a team that has many alternatives thanks to a deep roster. Precisely for this reason if we want to win and take points that would launch us in the standings with an important gap, we will have to play at our highest level to take home a very prestigious victory and continue well on our way. I see that the girls are ready, they feel the big events and the setting of the Forum will hopefully give us the stimuli for a great performance. ”
