Chance of qualification for Antonio Carraro Prosecco DOC Conegliano: for the fourth day of Pool D of CEV Zeren Group Champions League Dresden arrives at Palaverde, currently third in the group. In the first leg, Wolosz and her teammates won 3-0 in Germany. And the Panthers did not betray: it was the eleventh passage of the round in the top European competition in the history of the club.

Before the match, captain Asia Wolosz is awarded Panther of the month for December by partner Da Ros Green. Ewert leads the yellow-blues in the direction for the evening, Haak is the opposite, Daalderop and Sillah are the wings, Fahr and Munarini the middle, De Gennaro is the libero. On the other side, coach Waibl chooses Grome, Kuipers, Levinska, Lorber Fijok, Siksna, Pfeffer, libero Nestler.

It is Haak’s 6-2 to mark the first initial shoulder in favor of the yellow-blues, it is always the Swede who puts down the break points that leave the guests at a safe distance (15-12, 8 points with a precious 50% offensive for the opposite in the first set). Munarini enters the match by blocking for 16-13, it takes the videocheck called by coach Santarelli to find the touch of the wall on Sillah’s whip (21-16), Ewert dives everywhere when the exchanges get hot and serves Daalderop the set point (25-19). Between the first and second set, the south curve of the Palaverde unrolls a banner to celebrate the birthday of president Piero Garbellotto.

Munarini and Haak, it is the walls of the Panthers to guarantee the first significant advantage of the second set (8-4); Daalderop’s ace widens the gap between the two teams (12-7), but Dresden gets closer and goes ahead, it takes the best Antonio Carraro not to miss the set. Haak equalizes at 19 (the same personal number of points at the end), Lady Luck smiles at Daalderop with the serve (20-19): Sillah lines up four points that lead to set point (6 tokens with 56% per point for the Slovenian in the set), Adigwe (who entered with Wolosz at the end of the partial) writes the 2-0 with 25-23.

Unlike the other sets, the third is slightly uphill for the Panthers, Sillah and Daalderop take care of closing the margin (6-6, 13 points at the end for the Gambian native, with 1 block). Sillah scratches again from seat 4, a catch-all Fahr under the net gives the first advantage (11-9, 9 points and 2 blocks with 67% for the middle). De Gennaro saves the impossible, Haak does not need to be asked and Ewert stabs the attack with a block (17-14): it is a reassuring advantage that the Panthers do not squander, the match point comes with an error by the Dresden attack.

On Saturday it is already time to return to the Palaverde, the Panthers host Bergamo at 20.30 on the 7th day of the return of the Regular Season of the Serie A1 Tigotà. Tickets still available online at Vivaticket.com
